Will

In case law, a will is defined as a legal document executed by a person (the testator) that expresses their intentions for the distribution of property and assets upon death. It may also appoint guardians for minor children, designate an executor to administer the estate, or include other directives. A will is revocable during the testator’s lifetime (provided the testator has capacity) and becomes effective only upon death.
